Senior Manager Emerging Tech Services

About the role

Omantel is looking for a Senior Manager to drive its TechCo+ ambition by identifying, evaluating, incubating and validating emerging technology services. The role will focus on building partnerships across FinTech, InsurTech, TravelTech and MedTech ecosystems and turning innovative capabilities into commercially viable offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Define and activate Omantel’s emerging technology and partner ecosystem strategy across multiple verticals, embedding opportunities into the digital ecosystem.
• Advise executive leadership on emerging technology trends and translate them into commercial implications and strategic recommendations.
• Build and manage a structured technology partner pipeline, maintaining a live market and competitor radar.
• Define minimum viable offerings, pilot success criteria, go‑to‑market assumptions and scale‑readiness requirements.
• Own end‑to‑end business case development, including revenue and cost modelling, investment requirements and build‑buy‑partner decisions.
• Design and negotiate commercial constructs (revenue sharing, white‑label, joint venture, equity, etc.) and manage contracts through to signed agreements.
• Oversee the innovation portfolio and budget, tracking pipeline health, funding allocation and performance.
• Build and lead a high‑performing team, fostering a customer‑centric, data‑led culture and supporting Omanisation and talent development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; professional certification is a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a management position.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen with experience in business case development.
