Network Security Engineer – One-Year Project in Sohar, Oman

About the role

CCDS is looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer to join a one‑year, project‑based assignment in Sohar, Oman. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining enterprise‑grade security solutions on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, manage and troubleshoot enterprise network security solutions.
• Administer and optimise Palo Alto and Fortinet security products.
• Monitor network performance, security events and potential threats.
• Implement firewall policies, VPNs, routing, switching and access‑control rules.
• Investigate network and security incidents and provide timely resolutions.
• Perform system upgrades, security hardening and configuration reviews.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational reports.
• Coordinate with project teams, vendors and customers to meet service requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering or a related field.
• Proven professional experience in network security engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Fortinet technologies.
• Solid knowledge of routing, switching, VPNs, network protocols and firewall management.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work full‑time and on‑site in Sohar, Oman.
• Mandatory certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Fortinet NSE 7.
