Ophthalmologist – Full‑time position in Masqat, Oman

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Ophthalmologist to join a leading eye‑care facility in Masqat, Oman. This full‑time, on‑site role involves delivering comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing ocular diseases, and providing both medical and surgical treatments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough eye examinations and assess visual function.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of eye conditions.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and perform refraction assessments.
• Plan and execute ophthalmic surgeries, including anterior and posterior segment procedures.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑operative care and follow‑up.
• Operate diagnostic equipment, lasers, and other specialized ophthalmic tools.
• Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Recognized medical degree with a valid license or eligibility to practice in Oman.
• Advanced clinical expertise in ophthalmology, preferably with fellowship or subspecialty training.
• Prior experience in hospital or specialized eye‑care settings.
• Strong decision‑making, patient communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adhere to local regulations.
