Patient Support Program Nurse – Home Health (Oman)

About the role

The Patient Support Program Nurse provides comprehensive home‑health nursing care to patients with chronic conditions, ensuring optimal health outcomes and quality of life. Working within Axios International’s Patient Support Programs, the nurse follows local and international standards while collaborating with physicians, caregivers, and program managers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telephonic follow‑up consultations and regular home visits to monitor vital signs, blood glucose, and pain levels.
• Prepare and administer medications, including injections, IVs, inhalations, oral, infusions and rectal routes, following physician orders.
• Perform wound assessments, dressing changes, cardiac assessments, and advanced foot care when needed.
• Provide education, counseling, and health‑teaching to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Report adverse events, pharmacovigilance data, and product complaints according to client SOPs and local regulations.

Required profile

• BS Degree in Nursing with a valid local health authority license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting delivering direct patient care.
• Excellent command of English and ability to travel within Oman and occasionally to the UAE for training.
• Current CPR and First‑Aid certification and a recent Good Standing Certificate (≤6 months).

Required skills

• Vital‑sign monitoring (BP, HR, temperature, SpO₂).
• Blood glucose monitoring and patient education.
• Medication preparation and administration (IV, injection, inhalation, oral).
• Wound assessment and dressing techniques.
• Use of nursing equipment such as ECG machines, spirometry and patient monitors.
• Pharmacovigilance reporting and adverse‑event documentation.
