Physics Teacher

About the role

Our partner school in Muscat is looking for a dedicated Physics Teacher to join the faculty immediately. The role involves delivering high‑quality physics lessons to students up to KS5 and fostering a love of science.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver well‑structured physics lessons aligned with the school’s scheme of work.
• Set and mark homework in accordance with school policy.
• Use formative and summative assessment data to monitor progress, set targets and inform subsequent teaching.
• Provide regular oral and written feedback to students, encouraging them to act on it.
• Undertake pastoral duties and support student well‑being.
• Participate in staff meetings, curriculum planning sessions and school administration activities.
• Attend parent meetings prepared to discuss achievement and welfare.
• Engage in continuous professional development and further training opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum of 4 years teaching experience.
• Qualified Teacher Status (PGCE) or equivalent experience letters covering the last 4 years.
• Subject‑related degree in Physics or a related field.
• Committed to inspiring and motivating students with high expectations.
• Strong communicator and collaborative team player.
• Passionate, enthusiastic and optimistic approach to teaching.
