Private Terminal Director

About the role

The Private Terminal Director will lead all Fixed Base Operator (FBO) and private terminal activities for TRANSOM in Oman. This senior position is responsible for delivering safe, efficient and profitable services while ensuring a premium experience for VIP passengers, aircraft owners and charter clients.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day FBO operations including aircraft handling, fueling, ground services, hangar management, passenger services and ramp control.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, security and regulatory requirements (ICAO, FAA/EASA, local CAA) and enforce Standard Operating Procedures.
• Promote a safety‑first culture, conduct audits, safety checks and incident investigations, and keep staff certifications up to date.
• Deliver a premium customer experience, manage key client relationships and resolve inquiries or complaints promptly.
• Develop and manage the FBO budget, control costs, drive revenue growth and monitor performance KPIs such as fuel sales and hangar revenue.
• Identify new business opportunities, partnerships and service expansion areas.
• Lead, train, motivate and develop staff across all FBO departments, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and scheduling.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in airport or FBO operations.
• Strong knowledge of aviation safety and regulatory standards (ICAO, FAA/EASA, local CAA).
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, financial targets and performance metrics.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation with experience handling VIP and corporate aviation clients.
• Track record of building and developing high‑performing teams.
