Procurement Specialist

About the role

Renardet is looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to lead the acquisition of mine equipment and material handling systems. The role involves close collaboration with engineering teams to ensure that all procured items meet technical and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end procurement process for crushers, feeders, screens, conveyors and bulk material handling equipment.
• Review and coordinate technical specifications with engineering teams.
• Prepare and run tendering activities, including RFQs, bid evaluations and technical/commercial comparisons.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers and contractors throughout the procurement phase.
• Monitor production, inspection and delivery schedules to ensure compliance with project specifications and contractual terms.
• Organise Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and inspections.
• Identify and mitigate procurement risks that could affect installation and commissioning timelines.
• Work with Mechanical and Mine Engineers to confirm equipment readiness and site requirements.
• Support logistics planning and delivery to the site.
• Ensure implementation of In‑Country Value (ICV) as required by the Oman Investment Authority.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Supply Chain/Procurement.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in mining procurement, specifically for industrial and bulk material handling equipment.
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Team‑player with excellent analytical and organizational capabilities.
