Production Manager - Aluminum/UPVC Windows & Doors

About the role

A manufacturing company in Muscat is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead its Aluminium and uPVC Windows & Doors division. The role covers end-to-end plant operations, from raw material planning through fabrication, assembly and dispatch, with a focus on throughput, machine uptime, quality and team productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Direct end-to-end shop-floor operations for aluminium and uPVC window and door systems.
• Formulate daily, weekly and monthly production schedules and allocate line manpower and machine loads to meet delivery deadlines.
• Supervise fabrication stages such as profile cutting, corner welding, corner cleaning, hardware assembly, glazing and accessory integration.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of CNC cutting centers, welding units, copy routers and end-milling machines, minimizing downtime and improving machine efficiency (OEE).
• Enforce quality control across raw materials, in-process stages and finished goods, and drive scrap reduction and yield improvement.
• Coordinate with Sales, Logistics and Site/Installation teams so production targets match project timelines and installation schedules.
• Manage raw material, hardware and accessory consumption, keeping stock accurate and preventing stockouts.
• Investigate customer complaints, carry out root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Enforce workplace safety, maintain 5S housekeeping standards and prepare daily production, waste tracking and machine log reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 8+ years in manufacturing, with hands-on leadership in aluminium and uPVC windows and doors fabrication.
• Proven experience managing a plant, factory floor or production department with a sizable operator/technician workforce.
• Basic English (verbal and written) and fluency in local shop-floor languages.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of architectural aluminium systems, uPVC profiles, glass specifications, fabrication hardware and CNC/automated machinery.
• Quality control, root-cause analysis and CAPA.
