Project Control Manager - Onshore Oil & Gas EPC

About the role

A leading international Oil & Gas EPC contractor is recruiting, on its behalf, a seasoned Project Control Manager to oversee end-to-end project planning, scheduling, cost control and performance reporting for a major onshore project in Oman and the UAE. The contract runs for 24 months, reports to the Project Manager, and pays up to AED 35,000 per month (or equivalent in OMR).

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the project controls team across planning, scheduling, cost estimation, Earned Value Management (EVM), progress measurement and client reporting.
• Set up and enforce project control procedures, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and integrated baseline schedules.
• Review and approve Level 1 to Level 4 schedules and monthly cost and progress reports.
• Forecast schedule and cost at completion (EAC/ETC), identify variances and run mitigation and recovery plans.
• Oversee change management, trend registers, claims and variation orders in line with the Project Manager.
• Run quantitative schedule risk analysis (SRA) and maintain the risk register.
• Integrate schedules across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and subcontractor packages.
• Present progress and lead performance reviews with the Client PMT.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (attested).
• Minimum 15 years of dedicated project controls experience on large-scale onshore Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Substantial GCC onshore experience; experience on major regional operator projects (e.g. ADNOC, PDO, regional NOCs) and prior operator approvals is highly advantageous.
• Strong commercial acumen, excellent written and spoken English, and leadership in multi-discipline EPC environments.
