Receiving Clerk / Storekeeper (Omani)

About the role

The Receiving Clerk / Storekeeper ensures that all goods and services ordered by the hotel are accurately received, inspected, and documented. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the hotel's operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Handle purchase orders, ensuring copies of approved orders, market lists, and supply contracts are readily available and properly filed.
• Inspect and weigh all received items, consulting relevant departments for technical, equipment, furniture, or food items to verify quality and specifications.
• Transfer inspected items to the appropriate department, coordinating with suppliers or department staff for collection.
• Acknowledge supplier invoices by stamping originals and copies after verification, ensuring dates and authorization references are correct.
• Reject items arriving without proper authorization and refer them to the Materials department.
• Process invoices for services (e.g., clearing, insurance, maintenance) only when linked to a purchase order or contract, with departmental head initials.
• Prepare receiving reports and summaries for cost control and accounts payable.
• Address delivery disputes with the Materials department.

Required profile

• Omani nationality as indicated in the job title.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate inspection and documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and external suppliers.
