Refrigeration Technician

About the role

We are looking for Junior and Senior Refrigeration Technicians to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair commercial refrigeration and cold‑storage equipment in Muscat.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical and refrigerant‑related faults and carry out refrigerant charging, leak detection, vacuuming, pressure testing and brazing.
• Maintain cold rooms, freezers, blast chillers, ice machines, cabinets, compressors and condensing units.
• Troubleshoot temperature controllers, thermostats, sensors, expansion valves and defrost systems.
• Inspect components, replace defective parts and monitor system performance to ensure required storage temperatures.
• Complete maintenance reports and document recurring equipment issues while following safety, hygiene, environmental and quality standards.

Required profile

• Diploma, ITI or trade certification in Refrigeration, HVAC, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Junior: 2–4 years of relevant experience; Senior: minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Practical knowledge of refrigeration cycles, compressors, evaporators, condensers and control systems.
• Experience in fault diagnosis, brazing, refrigerant handling and electrical troubleshooting.
• Senior candidates should have experience coordinating technicians or supervising maintenance activities.
• Experience in hospitality, catering, food production, cold storage or facilities management is preferred.
