Team Lead MAF Process Engineering

About the role

The Team Lead MAF – Process Engineering will head the Process Engineering services for MAF under the Head of Process Engineering. The role acts as a technical partner, driving continuous improvement, process optimisation and supporting operations across multiple refinery units.

Key responsibilities

• Lead resolution of complex operational problems in MAF plants and coordinate a team of senior and lead process engineers.
• Analyse data to identify optimisation opportunities, perform benchmarking and develop implementation plans.
• Develop heat and material balances, process flow diagrams and design minor plant modifications through to project completion.
• Supervise refinery turnaround scopes, manage MOC requests and conduct root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Participate in HAZOP studies, prepare tender documents and develop technical procedures for new systems.
• Report performance, utilisation and availability of MAF plants to senior management and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in process engineering within refinery or petrochemical environments.
• Proven leadership of multi‑disciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on cost‑effective solutions.

Required skills

• Process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II).
• Data analytics for process optimisation and product quality.
• Heat and material balance calculations.
• Process Flow Diagram (PFD) development.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and HAZOP methodology.
• Management of Change (MOC) procedures.
