Rig Operations Manager – Kuwait

About the role

We are seeking a Rig Operations Manager to lead the performance and profitability of our rigs in Kuwait. The role combines responsibility for drilling operations, health, safety and environment, maintenance, personnel and asset management, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day drilling and well‑completion activities to maximise efficiency and technical success.
• Manage overall rig performance, profitability and operational integrity.
• Ensure strict compliance with quality assurance and HSE regulations and lead safety initiatives.
• Lead, motivate and supervise multiple drilling crews and subcontractors, including training and development.
• Coordinate rig logistics, supply chains and external support services to maintain uninterrupted operations.
• Act as the primary on‑site contact for clients, building strong relationships and addressing stakeholder needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the oil field with a track record of leading and managing multiple drilling crews.
• Hands‑on expertise in all aspects of wellbore operations and drilling performance optimisation.
• Strong commitment to HSE standards and demonstrated safety leadership.
• Ability to reduce operational costs while meeting project timelines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for client and stakeholder relationship management.
