Risk Analyst – Financial Transactions

About the role

The Risk Analyst will provide independent, comprehensive risk opinions on financial transactions entered into by the Company. You will conduct detailed financial analysis, build stress‑testing models, and evaluate counterparty credit, market and project risks for new and existing clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assess counterparty risk across credit, market, project, FX and other dimensions.
• Analyse transaction structures and propose risk mitigants to improve terms.
• Perform financial analysis of counterparties, including statement review, cash‑flow modelling and stress‑testing.
• Ensure timely and continuous monitoring of client financial standing, repayment capacity and collateral sufficiency.
• Support operational risk management through document turnover and reporting.
• Prepare reports and presentations for the Risk Committee.
• Conduct portfolio quality control and ad‑hoc analysis as required.
• Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure smooth information flow.

Required profile

• MSc in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, IT or another quantitative field.
• Professional certification such as ACCA; CFA preferred.
• 5‑7 years of experience in financial risk analysis or related areas.
• Advanced proficiency in English; additional languages (French, Spanish) a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with financial analysis theory, credit risk fundamentals and basic contractual law.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Python programming.
• VBA scripting.
• SQL (preferred).
