Safety Engineer Level II

About the role

Worley is seeking a Safety Engineer Level II to support on‑shore oil and gas projects. The role involves developing Technical Safety Engineering (TSE) deliverables across all project life‑cycle stages, from feasibility to asset transition.

Key responsibilities

• Develop HSE and Fire & Gas philosophies, cause‑and‑effect studies, layouts and mapping.
• Perform physical effects modelling, quantitative risk assessments, flare radiation and dispersion studies, and EPZ calculations.
• Execute safety studies using Shell FRED, SHEPHERD or similar risk‑integration software.
• Lead and facilitate technical safety workshops such as HAZID, HAZOP, Bow‑Tie, ALARP demonstrations, and SCE identification.
• Review vendor documents, technical bids, datasheets and specifications for safety compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of engineering or consultancy experience in oil & gas, with at least 5 years in TSE on on‑shore facilities.
• Proven experience across feasibility, concept, FEED, execution and project‑to‑asset transition phases.
• Hands‑on experience with loss‑prevention design, fire safety, fire‑protection hydraulics, escape and firefighting design.
• Experience in human factors engineering studies and safeguarding reviews (design review, HAZOP, IPF, etc.).
