About the role
We are seeking a motivated Sales Engineer to join our Hardox Wearparts team in Muscat. The role blends technical engineering knowledge with customer‑facing sales activities, helping clients in mining, construction, oil & gas, recycling, cement, and heavy equipment sectors find reliable wear‑resistant steel solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across multiple industries.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with customers through regular visits.
- Analyse wear‑related problems and recommend appropriate steel solutions.
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical reports.
- Coordinate with fabrication, production, and service teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Work with technical partners to provide product support and application guidance.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to business growth.
- Deliver after‑sales support and excellent customer service.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, technical support, or engineering within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Self‑motivated, confident, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Required skills
- Knowledge of steel materials and wear‑resistant products.
- Understanding of fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with Hardox steel products and applications (preferred).
