Secondary Chemistry Teacher – Muscat (Start Aug 2026)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced secondary Chemistry teacher to join our Science Department in Muscat starting August 2026. The role involves delivering the Chemistry curriculum across GCSE, A‑Level and IB programmes within a bilingual, international school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Chemistry to secondary students, preparing them for GCSE, A‑Level and IB examinations.
• Contribute to improving academic results in Chemistry at GCSE and A‑Level/IBDP.
• Share outstanding teaching practice with colleagues and collaborate on department initiatives.
• Foster a positive school culture through supportive actions and cultural intelligence.
• Engage with students and parents, building strong relationships and effective communication.

Required profile

• Minimum two years post‑qualifying teaching experience.
• Bachelor’s degree closely related to Chemistry.
• Qualified teacher status (PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
• Under 60 years of age and able to pass safer recruitment checks.
• Proven track record of improving Chemistry results at GCSE, A‑Level or IB.
• Willingness to collaborate, share best practice and contribute to a positive school environment.
• Strong cultural awareness and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
