Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer will support Oman Air’s airport security operations in Muscat, ensuring that all security programmes are consistently applied across terminals, counters and aircraft. The role involves regular inspections, coordination with loading teams and reporting to maintain a safe and compliant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct periodic checks to verify implementation of security programmes by staff at airport counters and departure gates.
• Perform spot checks on aircraft security screening for arriving and departing flights.
• Coordinate with the Aircraft Loading Supervisor to reconcile baggage figures between the system, counters and aircraft.
• Inspect engineering sections and all terminals within the airport.
• Prepare a Daily Shift Report summarising security observations and actions taken.

Required profile

• Fresh Bachelor degree in a related discipline with at least 2 years of aviation‑security experience, OR a two‑year college diploma with 6 years of experience, OR a specialised certificate/license with secondary education and 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in spoken English and Arabic.
