Senior Audit & Assurance Professional – Oman

Deloitte, a leading professional services firm, is looking for a Senior Audit & Assurance professional to join its Oman team. The role involves delivering high‑quality audit services, managing stakeholder expectations, and supporting the audit lifecycle for diverse clients.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust with stakeholders by understanding service expectations and delivering tailored audit solutions.
• Deliver audit engagements in line with regulatory requirements and risk‑management standards.
• Prepare and adapt referral instructions, define audit scope, and coordinate group audit structures.
• Liaise with onshore and offshore Centres of Excellence, ensuring accurate information exchange.
• Track deliverables from component auditors and integrate findings across the audit file.
• Articulate audit quality milestones and ensure compliance with audit quality standards.
• Prepare documentation that anticipates reviewer questions and distinguishes accounting from auditing judgments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in audit and assurance, preferably at a senior level.
• Strong understanding of regulatory impact on business processes and controls.
• Ability to analyse key statistics and industry data before engagements.
• Excellent communication skills for effective liaison with global teams.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on audit quality and risk assessment.
