Senior Business Analyst

About the role

A Senior Business Analyst is sought in Oman to support business strategy, operational improvement, data analysis and organizational decision-making. The analyst works closely with senior management, department leaders, stakeholders and project teams to analyze business performance, identify improvement opportunities, develop strategic recommendations and support business transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business operations, processes and organizational performance, and gather, assess and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis and industry assessments, and prepare feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses and risk assessments.
• Analyze financial data, business metrics, KPIs and performance indicators, and develop business models, forecasts and strategic planning recommendations.
• Evaluate existing processes and recommend optimization strategies; support the planning, execution and monitoring of business projects.
• Develop dashboards and performance reports, and turn complex data into actionable insights.
• Support digital transformation and business improvement initiatives, and ensure documentation and reports are accurate and up to date.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Management, Information Systems or a related field; an MBA or Master's in Business Analytics or Management is an advantage.
• Relevant experience in business analysis, strategic planning, business consulting or corporate management; previous Senior Business Analyst, Business Analyst, Strategy Analyst or Management Consultant experience preferred.
• Experience in business process analysis, financial analysis and performance reporting; experience in business transformation or organizational improvement projects preferred.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of business intelligence and data visualization tools.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL or similar analytical tools is an advantage.
• Business analysis certifications or specialized training are beneficial.
