Senior Clinical/Rehabilitation Psychologist – Child Development Centre

About the role

We are seeking a senior Clinical or Rehabilitation Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary Child Development Centre within a leading private super‑specialty hospital in Al Khoud, Muscat. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality, family‑centered psychological services to pediatric patients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological, developmental, cognitive, adaptive, and neuropsychological assessments for children.
• Administer, score, and interpret standardized tools, producing detailed reports with diagnostic impressions and individualized recommendations.
• Collaborate closely with developmental pediatricians, psychiatrists, neurologists, speech‑language pathologists, occupational therapists, and special educators.
• Design and implement customized intervention plans, providing psycho‑education and counseling to families.
• Supervise junior psychologists and trainees, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and contribute to research and quality‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• M.Phil. in Clinical or Rehabilitation Psychology (RCI recognized) or equivalent qualification.
• 3–5 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in a hospital‑based child development or multidisciplinary pediatric setting.
• Valid professional registration and strong clinical reasoning, communication, and ethical practice.

Required skills

• Proficiency with assessment tools: VSMS, Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, DP‑3, WISC, WAIS, MISIC, Raven's Progressive Matrices, NIMHANS Neuropsychological Battery, Bender Gestalt Test.
• Expertise in behavioral and autism assessments: BASC‑3, Conners Rating Scales, CARS, ADOS, ADI‑R.
