Senior Commodity Trader – Oil, Gas & Metals

About the role

Join a high‑performing team within a company that generated over $800 million in revenue in 2025. Based in Muscat, you will lead commodity trading operations across oil, gas and metals, driving growth throughout the MENA region.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and manage trades in oil, gas and metals markets.
• Monitor market trends, price movements and geopolitical factors affecting supply chains.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, buyers and brokers across the MENA region.
• Oversee trade documentation, contract execution and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with back‑office and operations teams to ensure smooth settlement.
• Identify new business opportunities and market entry points.
• Report portfolio performance and risk exposure to senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commodity trading (oil, gas, metals).
• Deep knowledge of MENA markets, especially the Gulf region.
• Strong network of industry contacts in Oman and the wider Middle East.
• Proven track record in deal structuring and contract negotiation.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Willingness to relocate to or already based in Muscat, Oman.
