Senior Draftsman

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Draftsman to join our engineering team in Muscat. The role focuses on producing detailed civil engineering drawings and 3‑D models for infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with project standards and supporting value‑engineering efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and ensure they meet project specifications.
• Create and manage 3‑D surface models, alignments, and profiles.
• Import, process, and analyse survey data for surface and earthwork calculations.
• Produce earthwork reports, volume calculations and optimise grading for cost efficiency.
• Maintain consistent sheet layouts, title blocks and scales across all drawings.
• Resolve design conflicts through model coordination and support value‑engineering initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma in civil engineering, drafting, or CAD/BIM technology.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in civil drafting, preferably on hydropower or dam projects.
• Experience working in design consultancy environments and knowledge of geotechnical and hydraulic design interfaces.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows.
• Experience with GIS tools.
