Senior Engineer – Offshore Operations

About the role

The Senior Engineer – Offshore Operations provides engineering and operational support for offshore production within OQEP's Musandam Cluster. The role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable platform processes, equipment, and systems while meeting production targets and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day engineering and technical support for offshore production operations.
• Monitor production processes, identify deviations or risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in preparing and updating operating procedures, work instructions, and operational philosophies.
• Analyze production data, well performance, and process parameters to drive optimization.
• Support start‑ups, shutdowns, well interventions, and routine operational changes.
• Participate in permit‑to‑work (PTW), risk assessments, and management of change (MOC) activities.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Technical Services.
• Prepare production reports, performance dashboards, and KPI tracking.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with offshore safety and HSE protocols.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering degree with several years of offshore production experience.
• Strong understanding of offshore platform operations, HSE standards, and Omani regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to analyze technical data and implement process improvements.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional coordination and mentorship.
