Senior Merchant Acquisition Specialist

About the role

Waffarha, a leading savings platform in Egypt and the Gulf, is looking for a Senior Merchant Acquisition Specialist to expand its merchant network across the MENA region. You will be responsible for sourcing, signing, and nurturing relationships with small‑to‑medium merchants to drive profitable deals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and onboard new merchants from social media, personal connections, and field visits.
• Review and benchmark merchants' discount plans against competitors.
• Negotiate and structure competitive offers that align with customer needs and maximize profit.
• Validate all merchant documentation and ensure compliance with Waffarha’s standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address merchant requirements and update existing offers.
• Serve as the primary liaison between merchants and internal teams, handling concerns and fostering long‑term partnerships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (mandatory).
• 2‑4 years of sales experience, preferably in e‑commerce or retail within the Oman market.
• Upper‑intermediate English proficiency and a valid driving licence.
• Strong time‑management, communication, negotiation, analytical, and networking abilities.
• Dynamic, outgoing, and energetic personality.

• Microsoft Excel (basic knowledge).
• Microsoft Word (basic knowledge).
