Steel Fixer (Rebar Fixer)

About the role

2coms is hiring Steel Fixers / Rebar Fixers for construction projects in Oman. The candidate cuts, bends, places and fixes reinforcement steel according to structural drawings and project specifications. The position is full time, on a 2-year contract, with accommodation, transportation and food included in the package.

Key responsibilities

• Read structural drawings, reinforcement plans and bar bending schedules.
• Cut, bend, place and fix reinforcement steel as per project specifications.
• Assemble and secure bars with binding wire and tools; install reinforcement for columns, beams, slabs, foundations and walls.
• Maintain correct spacing, alignment, dimensions and concrete cover.
• Inspect reinforcement before concrete pouring and coordinate with carpenters, concrete workers and supervisors.
• Follow safety procedures, work overtime and keep the site tidy.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Steel Fixer.
• Experience in reinforcement work for beams, columns, slabs, foundations and walls.
• Physically fit, willing to work at heights and in different site conditions.
• Willingness to relocate to Oman.

Required skills

• Ability to read basic structural drawings and bar bending schedules.
• Knowledge of steel cutting, bending, positioning and tying.
• Use of hand tools and steel-fixing equipment.

What we offer

• Monthly salary of OMR 125-130 (about 31,000-32,000 INR), including food.
• Overtime pay of OMR 0.400 per hour, with about 65 hours of overtime per month.
• Working pattern of 8 hours regular duty plus 2.5 hours overtime per day, 26 working days per month.
