Switchgear Wireman / Panel Wiring Technician

About the role

We are a leading Omani company in the switchgear and panel manufacturing sector, looking for an experienced Switchgear Wireman / Panel Wiring Technician. The role involves hands‑on wiring and assembly of LV/MV control panels, distribution boards and MCC panels while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform wiring and assembly of LV/MV electrical control panels, MCC panels and distribution boards.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Install and connect components according to approved designs.
• Carry out point‑to‑point wiring, cable dressing, ferruling, termination and labeling.
• Inspect wiring for accuracy, identify and correct errors or faults.
• Use hand tools, testing equipment and wiring accessories safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area and follow HSE requirements.

Required profile

• ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• 2–5 years of experience in panel wiring and assembly, specifically LV/MV control panels, distribution boards and MCC panels.
• Practical knowledge of electrical components and wiring practices.
• Ability to work independently and within a technical team.
