Switchgear Wireman / Panel Wiring Technician

About the role

A leading Omani company is looking for an experienced Switchgear Wireman / Panel Wiring Technician to perform LV/MV panel wiring, assembly and installation of control panels, distribution boards and MCC panels.

Key responsibilities

• Perform wiring and assembly of LV/MV electrical control panels.
• Wire and assemble MCC panels, distribution boards and switchgear panels.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Install and connect electrical components according to approved drawings.
• Carry out point‑to‑point wiring, cable dressing, ferruling, termination and labeling.
• Inspect wiring and connections for accuracy and quality.
• Identify and rectify wiring errors and electrical faults.
• Use hand tools, testing equipment and wiring accessories safely.
• Follow electrical wiring standards, company procedures and HSE requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe working area.

Required profile

• ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• 2–5 years of experience in panel wiring and assembly.
• Hands‑on experience with LV/MV control panels, distribution boards and MCC panels.
• Practical knowledge of electrical components and wiring practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good electrical safety awareness.
• Ability to work independently and within a technical team.
