System & Application Expert – OSS Platform Lead

About the role

We are looking for a senior expert to lead the design, integration, automation and continuous improvement of our OSS ecosystem. The role ensures reliable monitoring, visualization and management of network alarms, performance, service assurance and inventory across multi‑vendor platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and administer the Cygnet OSS Platform, ensuring scalability, availability and resilience.
• Lead platform upgrades, patching, migrations and maintain accurate network and configuration data.
• Integrate multi‑vendor NMS/EMS platforms, onboard new network domains and synchronize alarms, inventory and performance data.
• Develop automation solutions using Python, Shell scripting and SQL, building reusable frameworks and automated reports.
• Maintain OSS applications, operational tools and develop dashboards, KPIs and alerting policies.
• Manage network monitoring, logging and observability platforms, implementing telemetry and event correlation.
• Support Linux‑based and containerized OSS platforms, including Kubernetes, Docker and virtualization technologies.
• Design and optimise databases for OSS applications and integrate with infrastructure management solutions.
• Resolve complex OSS incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and mentor engineering teams.
• Evaluate emerging OSS technologies, adopt open‑source solutions and define technical standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of experience with OSS platforms, telecommunications systems, NMS/EMS or systems integration.
• Proven experience supporting multi‑vendor OSS environments, automation and Linux scripting.
• Professional certifications in Linux, Kubernetes, Red Hat, Python, Cloud, DevOps, Cisco or OSS technologies are advantageous.
