Vice President, Technical Support Services

About the role

The Vice President of Technical Support Services (TSD) leads the planning, implementation and continuous improvement of technical services across OQ8’s downstream assets. This senior position provides overall technical authority for asset integrity, engineering disciplines, process optimisation and laboratory functions, ensuring high‑quality, cost‑effective support to asset owners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and organise the Technical Support Services function, acting as the ultimate authority for asset integrity, discipline engineering and design standards.
• Lead process engineering initiatives, including optimisation, control, product quality improvement and data‑driven analysis.
• Oversee the Process Optimisation unit, identify improvement opportunities, and collaborate with Supply Chain to reduce operating costs.
• Drive continuous‑improvement programmes using Six Sigma, Lean and other methodologies.
• Utilise process simulation software to model scenarios and assess impacts before implementation.
• Ensure real‑time monitoring, advanced process control (APC) and alarm management are applied to maintain safety, reliability and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in technical support, asset integrity and multidisciplinary engineering within the oil & gas or refining sector.
• Proven track record of leading large, matrix‑structured organisations and delivering cost‑effective technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on process optimisation and continuous improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across engineering, operations and supply‑chain functions.
