Wellness Partner – Aged Care Facility

About the role

The Wellness Partner joins BlueCare’s Kirra Haven Aged Care Facility to deliver person‑centred wellness programs that enhance residents’ physical, emotional, social and cognitive wellbeing. Working under the Wellness Lead, you will create inclusive activities that respect each resident’s interests, cultural background and abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate group and one‑to‑one wellness activities that promote independence, dignity and quality of life.
• Build respectful relationships with residents, offering companionship, emotional support and meaningful engagement.
• Collaborate with care staff, clinical teams, families, volunteers and the Wellness Lead to align programs with resident needs.
• Guide and support volunteers, ensuring they feel confident and effective in contributing to resident wellbeing.
• Gather resident and family feedback to continuously improve programs and embed HELF Services into daily operations.
• Complete lifestyle assessments, maintain accurate records and report changes in wellbeing according to escalation procedures.
• Prepare and maintain safe, welcoming activity spaces, equipment and materials.
• Adhere to organisational policies on manual handling, WHS, infection control and emergency procedures.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering group and one‑to‑one activities in aged‑care or community settings.
• Understanding of dementia care, person‑centred practice and cultural safety.
• Knowledge of infection control, manual handling practices and the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Practical experience in creative, social, cognitive and physical activity facilitation.
