Yard / Buildings / Infrastructure Engineer (Design Reviewer)

About the role

The Yard / Buildings / Infrastructure Engineer (Design Reviewer) will lead the technical review of civil engineering designs for buildings, roads, drainage, utilities and yard facilities. The role ensures that all design outputs meet contract requirements, applicable codes and best‑practice standards while supporting constructability and operational safety.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify engineering calculations, design reports, technical specifications and construction drawings for civil infrastructure.
• Check compliance with contract requirements, international codes and standards.
• Identify and resolve interdisciplinary design conflicts and interface issues.
• Coordinate with design teams and clients to address technical comments and provide recommendations.
• Assess constructability, maintainability, safety and operational requirements of proposed designs.
• Prepare technical review reports and actively participate in design review meetings.

Required profile

• Registered Civil Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Post‑graduate qualification in Structural or Infrastructure Engineering is preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of cumulative civil engineering experience.
• At least 10 years in detailed/final design and design review of buildings, roads, utilities, drainage and yard facilities.
• Experience on at least two large‑scale industrial, port, infrastructure or transportation projects.
• Strong knowledge of international design standards and codes.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
