Associate Public Relations Officer

About the role

The Associate Public Relations Officer will act as the primary liaison between the company and various government entities in Oman. The role ensures smooth processing of visas, work permits, and other regulatory requirements for expatriate staff and their dependents while supporting health, safety, and environmental initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain, renew, and cancel employment visas, work permits, and residence permits for expatriate employees and dependents.
• Coordinate medical appointments and accompany staff to medical centers when required.
• Visit typing centers to process labor contracts, medical forms, and Emirates ID applications.
• Secure security passes and manage quota applications on behalf of expatriates.
• Liaise with embassies, airport immigration, police, labour office, and other government departments.
• Review labor contracts for compliance with government regulations.
• Administer MOHRE and immigration portals, ensuring up‑to‑date compliance.
• Provide timely updates on changes to labour and immigration rules to HR and senior management.
• Administer company and joint‑venture licenses.
• Promote and enforce safety policies, supporting a strong HSE culture.
• Execute tasks in line with the company’s Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems and suggest environmentally friendly improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role with strong interaction with government organisations and embassies.
• At least secondary education completed.
• Excellent networking, interpersonal and influencing abilities.
• Fluent spoken and written Arabic is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of written English.
