General Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a General Accountant to join our finance team, handling core accounting functions for a business operating in the pharmaceutical and veterinary solutions trading sector across the UAE and Oman. The role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in regional tax and VAT compliance while supporting the company’s financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare periodic financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including timely processing of invoices and collections.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure cash flow accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with UAE and Oman tax and VAT regulations.
• Support budgeting, cost‑control initiatives, and provide financial analysis to aid decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the trading of pharmaceuticals and veterinary solutions.
• Knowledge of UAE and Oman financial regulations is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
