Graduate Engineering Trainee – Steam Systems

About the role

Forbes Marshall is seeking recent engineering graduates or final‑year students in Oman to join its Graduate Trainee Engineer Program. This permanent, full‑time position offers a structured development path that leads to a regular Engineer role, with the opportunity to work on real‑world industrial steam systems.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute a dedicated engineering project for 3‑6 months, managing system installation and on‑site commissioning.
• Enforce health, safety and clean‑working‑environment standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Technical Sales Engineers on steam system diagnostics, energy benchmarking and customer site surveys.
• Act as primary liaison between clients, contractors and internal teams to ensure seamless communication.
• Monitor project timelines, identify risks early and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and deliver detailed progress reports to internal leadership and external clients.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or final‑year engineering student (any engineering discipline) based in Oman.
• Strong interest in hands‑on project management and system commissioning.
• Willingness to work on‑site and adhere to rigorous safety standards.
• Good communication skills for stakeholder coordination.
