Head of Global Equities

About the role

An established, fast‑growing asset manager based in Oman is seeking a client‑facing Head of Global Equities. You will lead the management of China and Indian equity funds, upcoming regional emerging‑market funds, developed‑market thematic mandates, and Shariah‑compliant mandates. Working with strong global advisor‑managers, you will drive visibility, AUM growth, and new fund launches in close collaboration with marketing, distribution, and senior investment teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee global emerging‑market equity funds and discretionary client mandates.
• Develop and implement investment strategies to deliver superior long‑term performance.
• Execute equity transactions and monitor portfolio performance, risk exposures, and market developments.
• Generate high‑conviction investment ideas and actionable research insights.
• Collaborate with research analysts, traders, and investment professionals to optimise outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and coordinate with fund administration teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with institutional and high‑net‑worth clients.
• Lead fundraising, business development, and the design and launch of new investment products.
• Mentor junior investment professionals and continuously improve investment processes and infrastructure.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in fund management, portfolio management, or a related investment role.
• Proven track record managing public‑market investment funds, especially emerging‑market equity portfolios.
• Experience with both onshore and offshore investment structures.
• Strong understanding of global capital markets and investment products.
