Human Resources Manager – Oman

About the role

The organisation is seeking a senior Human Resources Manager to join the in‑country leadership team in Oman. This role is strategic rather than transactional, responsible for shaping the people agenda across a large, complex operational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Country Director and senior leaders to design and execute the country‑wide people strategy.
• Act as a trusted HR advisor, championing a high‑performance culture.
• Lead, develop and inspire a sizeable HR team.
• Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management and employee relations.
• Ensure HR policies comply with Omani labour legislation and company standards.
• Manage workforce planning to meet operational demands.
• Drive succession planning, learning & development, and career progression frameworks.
• Lead employee engagement initiatives and support wellbeing programmes.

Required profile

• 14–17 years of progressive HR experience, including senior HR management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• Extensive background in oil and gas, preferably with a major international oilfield services company.
• Proven experience leading HR teams in large, operationally complex organisations.
• Strong generalist HR expertise across multiple disciplines.
• Sound knowledge of Omani labour law and HR best practices.
• Omani national required.
