Jointer – HV Cable Installation & Maintenance

About the role

The Jointer will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining high‑voltage (HV) cable accessories on site. The role requires a flexible approach to working hours and travel, with the majority of time spent at the project location.

Key responsibilities

• Install HV cable joints, terminations, link boxes and associated accessories following vendor mounting instructions.
• Perform cable sealing, bonding, earthing, and PD sensor connections at joint bays.
• Support HV cable testing, including installation and removal of test busing and adapters.
• Supervise cable laying, support structure installation, and site commissioning activities.
• Repair HV cables and maintain jointing tools and equipment.
• Purchase consumables, report site progress to the Project Manager, and ensure certificates are up‑to‑date.
• Coordinate with client site staff and enforce HSE requirements and safety permits.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in a relevant technical field.
• 10‑15 years of experience in HV cable work, including at least 2 years with 132 kV Prysmian accessories.
• Experience working in the Middle East is preferred.
• Valid certifications: HV accessories installation, First Aid, Basic Electrical Safety.
• Integrity, teamwork, strong communication, and self‑motivation.
