Lead Site Engineer – Roads

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Site Engineer to manage day‑to‑day road construction activities, ensuring productivity, quality and compliance with project specifications. The role acts as the main link between the site workforce, subcontractors, engineers and project management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities and ensure work follows approved drawings and method statements.
• Supervise subcontractors and site workforce, tracking daily and weekly progress.
• Prepare progress reports, schedules and maintain site records such as daily reports, inspections and material logs.
• Support the preparation of as‑built drawings and assist with quantity take‑offs and measurements.
• Identify site issues, propose practical solutions and handle unexpected field challenges efficiently.
• Minimize delays caused by technical or execution problems.
• Check setting‑out of roads, structures and utilities and coordinate with surveyors for accuracy and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in road and infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of road construction methods, materials and associated systems.
• Familiarity with asphalt works, grading and drainage systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
