Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. This full‑time position requires a proactive approach to safety and excellent interaction with guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and lock entrances when required.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Conduct daily physical‑hazard inspections and resolve safety issues.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and contact EMS as needed.
• Assist guests and employees during emergencies and defuse disturbances.
• Prepare detailed incident reports, shift summaries, and loss‑prevention activity logs.
• Escort unwelcome persons, report vehicle accidents/thefts, and call for outside assistance using proper codes.
• Maintain confidentiality of all security and property information.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, or run for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unassisted (75 lb with assistance).
• Clear vision for reading small print and inspecting equipment.
• Basic computer proficiency for incident reporting and point‑of‑sale systems.
• Willingness to comply with company policies, safety training, and licensing requirements where applicable.
