Maintenance Planner – CM

About the role

The Maintenance Planner – CM supports area leadership by coordinating the departmental maintenance programme. The role ensures equipment availability, manages spare‑parts inventory and synchronises internal and external services to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the weekly preventative maintenance schedule in SAP, assess man‑hour and equipment availability, and adjust plans for contingencies.
• Liaise with Operations Supervisors, SCM, Maintenance Supervisors, Superintendents and Production Officers to secure materials, services and equipment releases on time and within budget.
• Maintain the bill of materials database, standard job plans, and the work‑order bank; load and update maintenance data in SAP.
• Prepare equipment inspection plans, generate weekly KPI reports, and deliver accurate information to Maintenance, Operations and SCM.
• Administer the spare‑parts plan, oversee material receipt, and manage vendor relationships including scope definition, briefing and performance evaluation.
• Control documentation, keep equipment drawings and SOPs up‑to‑date, and drive initiatives to improve policies and practices.

Required profile

• Proven ability to support area leadership in executing a maintenance programme.
• Strong coordination skills with internal clients and external vendors.
• Experience managing spare‑parts inventories and vendor contracts.
• Attention to detail for document control and KPI monitoring.
