Operations Team Lead

About the role

The Operations Team Lead is responsible for end‑to‑end coordination of port activities at the Port of Duqm. Acting as the primary operational focal point, the role ensures safe, efficient and customer‑focused delivery of services across vessel, cargo, yard and terminal operations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the operational link between Planning and Operations, coordinating daily plans, resource deployment and shift handovers.
• Maintain continuous communication with all operational departments to monitor progress, resolve conflicts and adapt to schedule changes.
• Act as the main point of contact for customers, shipping lines and terminal operators, translating requirements into actionable plans and addressing issues promptly.
• Lead planning and execution of complex cargo such as project cargo, out‑of‑gauge, heavy lifts, dangerous goods and breakbulk, including risk assessments, lifting studies and permit management.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE, marine, engineering and regulatory standards throughout all operations.
• Support decision‑making during abnormal or emergency situations and maintain situational awareness of ongoing activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in coordinating port or terminal operations, including vessel and cargo handling.
• Strong knowledge of HSSE requirements and regulatory compliance for complex cargo.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders such as customers, agents, terminal operators and internal teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and capacity to make decisions under pressure.
