Public Relations Officer – Omani Only

About the role

The Public Relations Officer will manage all government‑related documentation for Marriott International’s hotel in Nizwa, Oman. This role ensures timely processing of visas, occupational cards, licences and other regulatory requirements for employees, guests and hotel operations. The position is open to Omani nationals only.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and submit visa, occupational card and passport applications for staff and guests, monitoring expirations and ensuring renewals.
• Prepare and obtain required licences for hotel operations, associates and guests, maintaining a weekly cost overview.
• Arrange departure logistics for contract‑ending associates, including visa cancellation at the airport.
• Maintain accurate passport and visa filing systems for both the office and front‑office teams.
• Ensure compliance with food‑handling card requirements, privacy regulations and internal HR documentation standards.
• Support the Sales Department with leads from local companies and government institutions.
• Liaise with municipal and government agencies to resolve any documentation issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of experience in government relations, HR or related operations, or a 2‑year degree in Government Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Omani citizenship (Omani only).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple compliance deadlines.
