Quantity Surveyor – Real Estate/Construction

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our real‑estate development team in Muscat. The successful candidate will manage cost estimation, tendering, and commercial control to ensure projects are delivered on budget and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs and project budgets; conduct feasibility studies.
• Prepare tender documents, manage the tendering process, evaluate bids and support contract negotiations.
• Monitor project costs against budgets, track variations, claims and change orders, and produce regular cost reports and forecasts.
• Administer contracts, review interim payment applications and certifications, ensuring compliance.
• Identify value‑engineering opportunities and recommend cost‑saving alternatives.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress and quantities, coordinating with project managers, consultants and contractors.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of Quantity Surveying experience in Oman (mandatory).
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, local contracts, market rates and procurement practices.
• Familiarity with local authorities, contractors and real‑estate/villa/mixed‑use projects is preferred.
• Membership or progress toward RICS (or equivalent) accreditation is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• AutoCAD.
• Quantity Surveying software (QS software).
