Rotating Equipment Senior Manager

About the role

SGS is seeking a Rotating Equipment Senior Manager to provide technical leadership, governance and independent assurance for rotating equipment engineering on the OLNG growth project. The role will be based in the Project Office in Sur and will involve frequent travel to support project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve zero incidents at the Qalhat LNG Complex during the project phase.
• Build, coach and performance‑manage the rotating equipment team, ensuring succession and capability development.
• Manage interfaces with owners, EPC/EPCM contractors, OEMs, utilities, authorities, insurers and operations/maintenance teams.
• Provide executive‑level reporting and decision support on rotating equipment matters.
• Oversee concept/FEED, detailed design and interdisciplinary interfaces, validating vendor data and ensuring operability, maintainability and reliability.
• Design rotating equipment distribution and generation systems in compliance with HSSE, OLNG and regulatory standards.
• Act as the Technical Authority (TA 2) and subject‑matter expert for rotating equipment throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Senior engineering leader with extensive experience in rotating equipment on LNG or oil‑and‑gas projects.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong understanding of process safety, asset integrity and machinery reliability.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work onsite in Sur.
