Senior Control and Automation Engineer

About the role

Wood is seeking a Senior Control & Automation Engineer to join its Projects team in Muscat, Oman. You will lead the control and automation engineering scope for oil‑and‑gas projects, delivering both FEED and detailed design packages to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all Control & Automation engineering activities and deliverables for assigned projects.
• Produce FEED and detailed design documents, specifications, and drawings within cost, time and resource limits.
• Conduct discipline and interdisciplinary reviews, ensuring technical integrity, constructability and safety.
• Implement and monitor the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001‑2015 and API Q2 (2nd edition).
• Support execution contracting strategies and remain engaged through construction, commissioning and start‑up phases.
• Capture lessons learned and drive continuous performance improvement.

Required profile

• Significant experience in on‑shore oil and gas projects, both brownfield and greenfield.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and deliver complex control and automation scopes.
• Strong understanding of HSE requirements and quality standards.
