Senior Network Security Engineer

About the role

KalSoft is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join its on‑site team in Oman. The successful candidate will design, implement, secure and maintain highly available enterprise network environments for the Tax Authority and its business units, ensuring performance, continuity and compliance with security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day network operations, including LAN and WAN infrastructure.
• Design, deploy, document and maintain routing, switching and ISP connectivity.
• Supervise vendors and contractors, ensuring contractual SLA compliance.
• Lead incident management, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement of operational processes.
• Oversee network security, applying patches, monitoring malware protection and tracking emerging threats.
• Maintain accurate hardware/software inventories, licensing records and change‑control procedures.
• Provide 24x7 on‑call support for outages and scheduled maintenance.

Required profile

• Omani national with at least 5 years of experience in enterprise network infrastructure and security.
• Proven ability to manage complex LAN/WAN environments and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on business continuity.
