Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management and commercial activities on construction projects. The successful candidate will oversee the full contract lifecycle, from tender preparation to final account settlement, ensuring projects stay within budget and meet client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets and tender documents for building, infrastructure and MEP projects.
• Manage all commercial and contractual aspects from inception to completion.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and negotiate contract terms.
• Monitor project costs, variations, claims and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates and final accounts.
• Administer contracts in line with project requirements and company policies.
• Conduct quantity take‑offs and measurements of works.
• Assess and manage contractual claims and dispute resolution processes.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and project teams to achieve commercial objectives.
• Produce regular cost reports and recommend cost‑control and value‑engineering measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in building, infrastructure or MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and GCC construction practices.
• Excellent understanding of cost control, contract management and procurement procedures.
• Valid GCC driving licence is an advantage.
