Senior UI/UX Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Engineer to join RQMNA’s team in Muscat. You will be responsible for designing and building the digital interfaces that millions of citizens interact with, ensuring they are accessible, mobile‑first, and fully bilingual with Arabic right‑to‑left support.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, accessible web and mobile interfaces used by millions.
• Own and evolve a scalable design system, including components, design tokens, and patterns.
• Implement production‑grade front‑end code using modern frameworks such as React.
• Ensure full bilingual support with high‑quality Arabic RTL layout and typography.
• Meet WCAG accessibility standards across all services.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and back‑end engineers to deliver cohesive end‑to‑end experiences.
• Define front‑end and design standards and mentor junior designers and developers.

Required profile

• Proven experience at the intersection of design and code, delivering both UI/UX and front‑end implementations.
• Hands‑on experience building and maintaining a production design system.
• Fluent in a modern front‑end framework (e.g., React) and design tools (e.g., Figma).
• Strong commitment to accessibility (WCAG) and performance.
• Experience handling Arabic RTL or other bidirectional/localized interfaces.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent portfolio in Computer Science, Design, HCI, or related field.
• Excellent English; Arabic is a plus.
