Storekeeper / Receiving Clerk

About the role

The Storekeeper/Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, staging, and organizing merchandise across hotel departments. This full‑time position ensures that inventory is accurately recorded, stored safely, and readily available for operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, marking items for proper placement.
• Stack received goods on pallets or carts and deliver them to the appropriate department.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, and notify supervisors of low stock levels.
• Inspect deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, and quality; reject damaged or incorrect items.
• Store perishables correctly, rotate stock, and maintain food safety standards.
• Organize, clean, and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, equipment, and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash, placing them in designated storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions and complete required safety training.
• Follow all company policies, maintain professional appearance, and protect confidential information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 50 lb.
• Good visual verification skills for reading small print and labels.
• Willingness to work in confined, elevated, or slippery spaces and navigate stairs or ramps.
